田島美加 | Mika Tajima
1975年 ロサンゼルス生まれ
現在はニューヨークにて制作活動中
彫刻、建築、音楽、パフォーマンスなど多様な要素を組み合わせた作品で知られる。
日本では2013年に「六本木クロッシング2013 : アウト・オブ・ダウト」展に参加、モダニズム建築の巨匠コルビジェの作品を自身の作品と組み合わせたインスタレーション等で高い評価を得る。
その他の主要な参加展覧会に、2014年「Negative Entropy」（Eleven Rivington、New York）、2011年「Pineapples and Pyramids」（Aspen Museum of Art、Aspen）、「After the Martini Shot」(Seattle Art Museum、Seattle) 、2010年「The Double 」（Bass Museum, Miami） 、2009年「Today is Not a Dress Rehearsal」 with Charles Atlas and New Humans（San Francisco Museum of Modern Art 、San Francisco） など。
2014年ART BASEL 香港にてBMW賞ファイナリスト。
