Shiriagari Kotobuki returns to his hometown of Shizuoka as guest curator and artist where he is joined by fellow manga artists Tanaka Katsuki, Amahisa Masakazu, Kawai Katsuo and Nagao Kenichiro. In an experiment expanding the possibilities of manga to the realm of art, the five present a single collaborative work befitting the CCC’s former-elementary school setting: Through installations, objects and ‘documentary’ materials, they express the life and inner world of an imaginary boy named Dovai who dreams of being a manga artist. The artists will also hold a talk on opening day.
