Gold in the Morning (detail)   1985

The New York-based Chilean artist known for his works taking a journalistic perspective. This exhibition presents one of Jaar’s most representative early works, Gold in the Morning (1985), a photo-installation exposing the poor working conditions of Brazilian gold miners, and his recent Dublin (Cream Edition) photographs depicting a Dublin prison.

Jarr will also be exhibiting his large-scale installation The Sound of Silence (2006) at the International Festival for Arts and Media Yokohama 2009.
