Kusama Yayoi Love Forever, Singing in Towada

Arts Towada, a project organized by the Aomori Prefecture city of Towada, will celebrate its grand opening this month on 24 June. Likening the city’s Kanchogaidori boulevard to a museum, the event will unfold along three veins: artworks, the contemporary art museum and art-related programs. Following the opening of the Towada Art Center in 2008, the city will unveil its Art Square composed of works by Kusama Yayai, and street furniture style-artworks along its walkways. Timed to coincide with the project’s grand opening, TAC will also open a solo show of works by Kusama.
