Ujino Muneteru Ujino and The Rotators

A cultural exchange festival between Japan and Austria that explores new artistic practices and creativity in media-integrated project and digital media-related arts. Coded Culturespresents the work and ideas of artists, curators and scientists and examines the various issues relating to codes that prescribe culture and artistic originality and practices (symbols and models). Japanese artists participating include exonemo, Masaki Fujihata, Ryota Kubo and Ujino Muneteru and curators, Yukiko Shikata and Fumihiko Sumitomo. A bi-national contemporary art exhibition curated by Takahiro Kaneshima (FEC) and others is scheduled to coincide with the festival. An official event for Austria-Japan Year 2009.
