White Noise at James Cohan Gallery

A noteworthy group show underway at the James Cohan Gallery in New York blurs the boundaries between visual art and sound. Through sounds to be looked at and objects to be heard, the exhibition explores ‘how sound can obliterate as well as elevate’ and ‘how silence can involve both absence and presence’. The show features more than 30 artists including iconic works by Robert Morris, Josef Beuys and Yoko Ono as well as four new commissions.
