Fashion designer Tsumura Kosuke, famed for his FINAL HOME label, has expanded his practice over the last several years to traverse the realms of fashion and contemporary art. In this exhibition he presents ‘fabrics’ woven from recycled electrical cords and LAN cables that had been on the way to becoming industrial waste. His penchant for hand knitting and patchwork techniques lies in the invisible added value born of the time and labor inherent in hand work. It is also considers the sense of liberation derived from entwining cords and reflects the knitting and unraveling of constant thought wrought in his own creations.
