News of next time plan exhibition “Thomas demand” 展

It is the one of a writer representing the world of art in the German present age known as the constitution photograph that the Thomas demand (born in 1964) produces the situation to become the subject by oneself and photographs. The demand is political mainly and reproduces the on-site scenery that a social case happened with a cardboard based on a photograph precisely and photographs it.
The world where the bathroom where a bathtub peeped out for an instant and a deserted copying service shop, the extremely normal everyday scenery including the escalator were cut. By uniform feel of a material to occupy the space when I watch them well although seemingly I mistake it for a genuine article, the beholder can learn it in strange sense of incongruity. The demand shows a certain psychological scenery in front of us in form thrilling you calmly behind the scene where there is reason in, daily life.

As for the book exhibition, it becomes the first private exhibition in the Japanese art museum to introduce activity of the demand to from an initial work to the new work including the picture work in earnest.
