Just after the show – Konstantin Grcic

[Title] Just after the show
[Artist] Konstantin Grcic
[Date] July 19 – September 18, 2007

Konstantin Grcic interprets the Hermès annual theme “danse” as that of “music”… “rock’n roll music”. The idea is to convert the two main windows of Maison Hermès into a small rock’n roll venue.

The frozen moment is that of ‘just after the show’ … the crowd of people is still hypnotized by the band´s performance, hands in the air, clapping applause for ‘more, more, more’. The stage is in the center of the windows, shiny silver equipment such as the drum set, amplifyers, electric guitars etc. create the distinctive references for the scenario.

The display of products will be done as if they were left on stage … draped over the amplifyers, hanging from microphone stands etc. The musicians have left the stage … but there are traces of them left behind. The crowd also wears bracelets, rings and watches as if to share their passion for Hermes as well as for music.
