Art fair
The month of May will see two new art contemporary fairs take place consecutively – this weekend and next – in Kyoto. At Art Fair Kyoto more than 30 Japanese galleries, mainly Kyoto-based, display their wares in the guest rooms of an entire floor of a Kyoto hotel. At Ultra Kyoto the 11 participating galleries hailing from Kyoto, Osaka, Tokyo and Gifu set up shop in a building designated a city cultural property.
