The third annual staging of the generation- and genre-crossing art project launched by Nakamura Masato and fellow artists born in the Akita prefecture city of Odate to increase awareness of the charms of the local area opens today. Taking ‘linking and expanding this town’ as its catch phrase, Zerodate / Odate Exhibition 2009, features the Zerodate Museum occupying shops in the city’s shopping arcade, the Zerodate Art Camp in the area’s woodlands, and banner-making together with local residents.
