Dancer Sato Rihoko, who gave a dazzling performance at the 2008 Yokohama Art Triennale on a field of broken glass in Teshigawara Saburo’s Fragments of Time, will appear in the Teshigawara-directed solo performance SHE. Appearing since 1996 in all of Teshigawara’s group works, Sato is for lauded for dancing that responds to and varies with strength to the space, music, lighting, and audience. Noteworthy too is how Teshigawara will stage Sato’s one-and-a-half hours of solo dance.
