A four-day symposium organized by the Hong Kong-based non-profit foundation ArtHub to reexamine the complex interconnections within the artistic and cultural fabric of Asia. The forum takes the ancient trade route Silk Road as a metaphor for instable connections and uncertain achievements in Asian cultures today, and as a departure point to reflect upon Asia’s cultural landscape. More than thirty scholars, artists and practitioners in other arts and other cultural fields from across Asia including Turkey and Georgia to west and China, the Philippines and Indonesia to the east will gather in Bangkok to participate.
