Aida Makoto ‘Beijing – Behind the art’

A book of photographs by artist Aida Makoto taken in Beijing in autumn 2007, in the advent to the city’s hosting of the Olympic Games. In the Caochangdi district, one of Beijing’s meccas of contemporary art, Aida focuses on aspects of everyday life on the city outskirts (seemingly) irrelevant to contemporary art.
