Viewpoints & Viewing Points – 2009 Asian Art Biennial

10.24 – 12.28
National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (Taichung)

The second edition of a biennial launched in 2007 to promote dialogue between artists in the Asia-Pacific region, focuses on, as the title suggests, the dialogue between different viewpoints and viewing points. The biennial features some 144 works by 54 artists/artist units from 20 countries in the region. Participating artists from Japan include Koganezawa Takehito, Taki Rentaro, Toyama Hitomi, and Paramodel. Here unique points of view on contemporary society and culture emerge from works spanning a variety of media.
