The fourth (!?) in the artist’s series of solo exhibitions launched in 2008. Here Ohtake develops his collage work, already a major compnent of an art practice that includes painting, sculpture, installation, and as of last summer, a public bathhouse on the island of Naoshima titled I ♥ Yu. Erotic photos of Thai beauties, photos found in a London antiques shop, exotic Indian snapshots… emerge from layers of oozing phosphorescent paint in this body of all new works.
