A group exhibition curated by Rashid Rana, bringing together the works of 45 Pakistani artists. The post-colonial quest for regional identity produced a distinct traditionalism in Pakistani art, however the last several years have seen work reflect broader perspectives more in touch with international artistic currents, and while stemming from different local backgrounds, show new visual similarities. This exhibition explores how resemblances in expression, taken out of context of their particular identities and juxtaposed and reassembled, produce universal meanings.
