Shinchika is a five-artist unit: one female, four male. Having each based themselves since graduating art school in different locations around Japan, they now collaborate by exchanging files on the net and so forth, producing works that draw on their individual talents of video, sound, text, spatial design. At this show they present a video work based on the story of two young people in a car traveling on a mountain road at night, surrounded by an installation composed of a group of mobiles. The works are developed with 3D modeling and heartwarming hand-drawn animation, interspersed with elements reflecting affection for early computer games.
