Dojima River Forum（Osaka）
The Dojima River flows on the northern edge Nakanoshima in central Osaka, and it is along these riverbanks that a new art festival is about to begin. With Mori Art Museum Director Nanjo Fumio as art director and Kubota Kenji as curator, the first edition of the Biennale, titled Reflection: The World Through Art, presents 26 artworks from the Singapore Biennale, also directed by Nanjo. The exhibiting artists represent some 20 countries and include Aida Makoto, Xu Bing and Tse Su-Mei. Here contemporary art reflects the world today – political, social and cultural problems included.
