The long-awaited first large-scale solo exhibition of work by a major figure in the German contemporary art world. Rebellion in Silence: Dialogue between Raven and Whale traces Rebecca Horn’s broad and varied oeuvre beginning with her performances wearing feathers and horns that led to her kinetic sculptures, films from her years residing in the US in the 1970s, works addressing modern historical issues made after her to Germany, plus her recent collaborations with musicians and most recent ‘bodylandscape’ paintings.
