Based in Germany, Ikemura’s work features young girls, birds and horizons, all serving as metaphors. The young girls with their eyes closed in her latest paintings exist in a space – is it imaginary or is it real? – causing the viewer’s consciousness to traverse between the imaginary and the real, the symbolic and the actual. Her latest drawings and sculptures will also be exhibited.
