For example, will “nature” for the bird be the same as “nature” which we think of? Karino locates a ready-made article made for a human being in the space and invites a bird in that. The place should be world part which is wide in amusement place and something like which appeared accidentally rest station not an art work for a bird.

It is a part of the living environment of birds, and I am adjoining to outside environment, and Tokyo Museum of Contemporary Art to be built in Kiba Park is connected at the same time to have the function called a place appreciating art. Karino prepares a pavilion appearing on the site of the art museum temporarily to the big birdhouse for birds by this display. The perception that is new for we human being again is promoted positive space, and we will be reminded of the space designed for the bird that the scale to feel at time going by is different from a human being by infinite possibility to open outside of a frame called “nature” or “the art” there. The installation that Karino performs under the pretense of “a design of nature” strongly appears before us like a drawing drawn on the space calmly.
