In Tokyo Museum of Contemporary Art, I hold “” feeling “展 from environment – this new which a building, art create” from Saturday, October 29.
The 21st century begins, and new life form and public space have been laid by progress of computerization and the urbanization. Book exhibition shows the suggestion, practice how an architect, an artist make an answer, space for a turn of eventss to surround us including the change of the problem of environment and the city, increase of the population and the constitution. I press people for new experience and approach, and the space exposes potential possibility with the environment. The suggestion of the artist sounds with the practical suggestion of the architect as a metaphor of a new view of the world and shows an image about the coming “human nature” from plural angles.
Including 3.11 earthquake disasters, natural damage and the political distemper always exist in the reality of all parts of the world in one way or another. For such situation, what kind of person may the building be for people? In book exhibition, “discovery” found including Japan by people and nature in all parts of the world, the universal expression of a building led in the social inside and outside by a variety of experience, thoughts and the fusion with wisdom and the technique of the country is exhibited.
28 sets of architects in 14 countries, artist show practice in each space, a trial by a model, drawing, a picture, a sculpture, a photograph, installation of the mixed media. As well as eyes, in the display space appealing to a body and a sense, it is with official statement having one the whole as the “new environment thing that a building, art create”.
In addition, this exhibition is held as a part of the Tokyo art meeting in the Tokyo culture dispatch project of Tokyo.
