Tokyo Museum of Contemporary Art reaches the opening 20th anniversary in March, 2015.
The MOT collection of 2014 plans it in commemoration of this in particular for three quarters.
The “MOT collection special plan first of the 20th anniversary of the opening” focuses for 1,995 years a year when this museum was opened.
I have been often pointed out while the big events such as the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, the Aum Shinrikyo case happened in 1995 when Tokyo Museum of Contemporary Art was opened, and the society uneasiness after the bubble burst spread when in a year to do the turning point of the cultural flow of Japan which continued to date. In the field of the contemporary art, new expression is born in sequence, and the infrastructure supporting them is maintained little by little and can consider it in the turning point in one time. I analyze this display consisting of two copies of constitution mainly on a store product including the introduction of the opening exhibition what happened in Part 1 around 1995. In Part 2, I introduce the work of writers who started activity after 1995 as a thing generalizing young writer collection of this museum. By a historic bird’s-eye view starting from 1995, I follow step of this museum for 20 years and show the point of view for the scene of the present continuous.
