I walked about in a city, and artist resident in Mexico, Francis Alice (1959-) arrested a problem to lie hidden in the daily life that I saw from there, and a writer went various projects from the action that town なかで performed to the large-scale thing with several hundred participants in all parts of the world. Such an act sometimes develops attractive picture, drawing with a record picture and a photograph, story characteristics in various form to a postcard.
By the expression that was social, and sold political problems, but was poetic, and was rich in wit that a writer lives as for most of Alice works of Mexico even as for the problem of the particular area as for whom the prominent power of expression getting that can share is appreciated globally.
The book exhibition clarifies the total picture of the Alice work from an initial work to a new work for two terms. With the first, I introduce approximately 15 projects that I went for in Mexico through a photograph and a picture, a sculpture mainly on a picture and survey the past expression activity of the writer. On the other hand, do not cross the bridge before arriving at the large-scale new work project 《 river which went in Strait of Gibraltar with the second and focus on 》 and announce record picture, picture, drawing, installation, sculpture, approximately 140 points including the photograph.
Now, the art that society invites a big change to are called into question what kind of role you can take in society. Meanwhile, reality and the posture of Alice facing each other will show possibility of the art for the reality society by the power of a story full of allegories some other time.
