Selections from the Hara Museum Collection on view until August 31

Sheep at the neighboring ranch munching on the grass.
How can they survive summer heat?

On view until August 31 at ARC contemporary art galleries (A, B and C) is “Selections from the Hara Museum Collection”
(open every day. Kankai Pavilion will be closed on July 30 and 31).

On view for the first time at ARC is Izumi Kato’s “Untitled” (2008).
This work was made for the exhibition “Art Scope 2007/2008—Faces of Existence” (2008) which was held at the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo. Later, it became part of the Hara Museum’s collection.

The 53rd Venice Biennale is now being held in Venice.
This work was on view at the Japanese Pavilion at the 45th Venice Biennale (1993).
Come and experience the work yourself!

Renewed Café d’Art. Lunch and dessert are served.
Do you see the museum building reflected on the windows?
The work on right is “Campbell’s Tomato Soup” (1981) by Andy Warhol.
The height of the work is three meters. Huge!
Note: sorry, we don’t serve Campbell’s tomato soup at the café.

On view at the Kankai Pavilion is “Animals on Parade” (August 1 – 31).
