Atsuhiro Ito Live Performance V.R.

From the Hara Museum, Tokyo

Thank you all for coming to Atsuhiro Ito Live Performance V.R. (September 13)!
Here is a brief report of the event.
Various sounds that came out from the OPTRON and other musical devices made by Ito filled The Hall, a uniquely shaped space of the Hara Museum.
The sounds resonate in such a unique way in this space…says Ito. Indeed, they are quite different from the usual explosive sounds he makes at other venues.

A musical device made of an old fan and other materials, which produces intricate rhythmic patterns and sounds.

Another musical device using magnet and spring. It’s small, but produces powerful sounds.

Wall hanging/floor type optrons.

Ito with a handy optron, the highlight of the performance! The light from the optron stood in sharp contrast to the darkness of the garden.
