The Hara Museum Membership Program at the Hara Museum (Tokyo)/Hara Museum ARC (Gunma)
If you ever thought it would be nice to have more opportunities to see and experience contemporary art, then you may be interested in the Hara Museum Membership Program. By becoming a member, you will get free admission to the museum shows, and receive invitations to opening receptions and preferential admission to lectures, performances, concerts and workshops, not to mention members-only events that are planned throughout the year.
But on top of their benefits, members have the satisfaction of knowing that their membership fees help support the unique activities of the Hara Museum and Hara Museum ARC. This double purpose lies at the heart of the program. And members can choose from various categories of support, from the easy-to-join Friends category to the higher level of support of a Benefactor Member.
No matter which category you choose, all members receive a very attractive membership card featuring an original design by an artist connected with the Hara Museum.

Regular Membership “Friends”
This category is the most popular category. Benefits apply at both the Hara Museum and Hara Museum ARC.

One-year Member ¥10,000 (plus \2,000 one-time processing fee for the first year)
Three-year Member ¥30,000 (no processing fee required)
Student ¥ 5,000 (with student ID)

+One membership card valid for 1 year or 3 years
+Unlimited museum admission for each member and 2 guests
(Student members: unlimited admission for card holder only)
+Invitations to exhibition opening receptions and previews
+Advanced announcement of members’ events and a special members’ discount
+A 10% discount on all items in the Museum Shop and the Web Shop
Individual Supporting Membership
This program is for those who not only want to enjoy contemporary art, but also help contribute to the promotion of culture. Benefits apply at both the Hara Museum and Hara Museum ARC.
