An artist-initiated biennial exhibition planned and operated in close alliance with its locale, for which, barring grants, the participating artists also raised the funding. Lead by Nakayama Masaki, Toya Shigeo and Endo Toshikatsu, 36 Japanese artists are slated to exhibit. The catalogue, with contributions by Director of the National Museum of Art, Osaka, Tatehata Akira and 27 other art-world figures, includes broader art criticism as well.
