Take Ninagawa is pleased to announce Kazuko Miyamoto‘s upcoming retrospective at Japan Society in New York, Kazuko Miyamoto: To perform a line, opening on April 29th.

This is the first institutional survey of Kazuko Miyamoto’s practice. Reclaiming her contributions to the development of Minimalism, the exhibition will span from her early paintings and drawings of the 1960s to the spatial string constructions of the 1970s and the conceptual experiments in performance that she engaged with in the 1980s and ’90s. A number of works on view are being shown in public for the first time, providing new perspective on the artist’s visionary career.
