In November, we present five works focusing on film sets as part of the theme “the city as set.”
These masterpieces from cinema history feature invaluable images of the 1920s, such as Marcel L’Herbier’s visionary work L’Inhumaine, in which the Robert Mallet-Stevens’ set serves as a stage, and other works filmed on location in Paris, Rome, and Hong Kong.
Constantly drawn to numerous scenes, ornamented by the city and film sets, viewers are sure to rediscover the allure of cinema.
As part of this program, Le Studio’s program director Alexandre Tsekenis will be visiting Japan to take part in two talk events, he will discuss “film and the set,” and explain this year’s theme at Le Studio, “Flaneur forever.”
