A young man from Senegal whose dream it has been ever since he was a child to become a boxer, Faye comes to Paris hoping to win a title. A Parisian he meets inside a train going from Marseille to Paris tells him all about life in Paris, he briefly falls in love in the Boulogne Forest, and then visits a strange fortune teller…In a letter to his mother he composes in an attic, Jean conjures up simple, smiling images of idyllic youth in Paris.
