Francis Alice exhibition

I cross the straits walking the metropolis.
Because I walk the world, I see it.

Francis Alice (1959 Belgium birth) that I started from as an architect shifted to the activity as the artist after I moved to Mexico in the 1980s. I walk about in a town and perform an action and make this up to a work by drawing, a picture, a picture, the various, cross-sectional methods including the photograph. Even if the act such as the play of the child to jump in the tornado that continues pushing the lump of the big ice all day that Alice tried spends serious labor, it lets social contradiction and absurdity not to be rewarded rise.
The book exhibition introduces daring practice of Alice until the magnificent new work project that I tried to tie it by the line of children crossing Strait of Gibraltar separating Europe and Africa from many early stage of masterpieces that the artist performed various actions from both two continents like a bridge in earnest on the stage of Mexico City where Alice moved to.
It was social, and the technique of Alice that let you reflect a political problem, and became the fable got a high global assessment by a concrete action. It is poetic, and, by the power of the story that it is easy to get close to, the work is tinged with the universal theme that many people can share. Because I walk, I stare at the world, and Alice that begins to spin a story from daily life lets rich possibility of the imagination to promote it to a new breakthrough notice us for the real dilemma.
