70s to review through design, a building, a drama, art, a photograph, music, a work, the document of a wide variety of genres including comics
Japan including the enthusiasm of intensification and Osaka World Exposition of the student movement from 1968 through the early 1970s reached the hot times. While a design, a drama, the depicter of various fields including the music interchange boldly at the same time, the movement that is going to question art from the root happens. I doubted that I expressed it, and a lot of attempts that felt the origin appeared and had the resistance to the organization considered to be 反博 and authority to object to an international exposition at the same time there. In addition, there were many individual, novel magazine and books which a designer and a photographer, a good painter built up all in one body and appeared. Furthermore, a women’s magazine or a town magazine were launched and caught the movement of the town of the new times sensitively.
When it is the late 70s when the feeling of the times greatly changed, a picture is reinstated to make a fresh start from the origin. In addition, the magazine which took up a youth culture was launched in sequence, and daily illustration gave glory to a cover with a light car. Parco and Seibu Department Stores called the Saison culture, the activeness of a design and the poster around the Seibu Museum colored this time now.
This exhibition is going to review the mind of the times mainly on the 70s from the end to the early 80s by art, a design, a building, a photograph, a drama, music, a work, the document of a wide variety of genres including comics in the 60s when Japan was thrown into confusion because of student struggle.

Harata Heikichi (書容設計家, editorial designer), Mr. ばるぼら (networker), a three-man talk by Kiyonori Muroga (design magazine “idea” chief editor). I talk about graphic design and the editing design for the magazine foundation of a periodical period when words and three persons facing each other visually became the global trend after the 70s.

●The workshop “copy which conveys thought”
A catch phrase to become the words to be used for advertisements, and to sometimes express the times. I make Kiyoharu Shimizu (Dentsu West Japan Hiroshima branch office) of the copywriter a lecturer and make a copy conveying thought to a partner with a word to remain in the short words and impression.
