スドホ in between - ART iT（アートイット）

Between Asia and the world. The challenge of the Korean artist.

Artist from Korea which enlarged the place of the achievement in the world, スドホ put the body for the negotiations with cultures and produced the large-scale installation using the work and person type of building it using the cloth under the theme of movement and a change of the identity with it from the mid-90s. The work with the dynamism that the delicacy that crafts of Asia have and power of the aggregate give off is precise surprisingly and is large-scale so that some raises the admiration. “Movement and movable construction” are two copies of constitution of “the power of people”, and the book exhibition introduces an activity of スドホ from an initial work becoming the first public exhibition in Japan to a recent work widely.

With the masterpiece with “a house” symbolizing the origin such as a family, a tradition, the race as a motif, I visualize the memory in the times of the movement, body characteristics, the concept of the personal space by light semitransparent cloth and figure skating made precisely. Furthermore, スドホ paying more attention to a unit and the relationship of the group stares at the thing which is culture, the history, public called the society from the viewpoint that is personal. The big influence that I received from a Japanese subculture is an exhibition approaching in earnest in the molding world of スドホ to be able to find.
