Joji Hayashi <
A road masterpiece by master hands of the observation and “it is structure hand-free”.
Wajiro Kon (1888-1973) who was a researcher, the architect of the private house paid attention to a street of Tokyo and the manners and customs of people with Kenkichi Yoshida (1897-1982) who played an active part as a stage artist later and others at the mid-1920s and, commencing with a study to investigate the life of the people in the street, the present conditions of manners and customs from various angles, and to consider, named “the study of modern phenomena”. It reflects life, the creation of people triggered by the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 and can arrest you with the acquisition of the new viewpoint to pay attention to the creativity of the people that there was not of what see it as a work in particular, and is done. Including Genpei Akasegawa (1937 …) formed in 1986, roadway observation study society by Terunobu Fujimori (1946 …) and others, I observed road things in various fields including art and the building, and various activities to record have been developed afterwards.
This exhibition changes the creation which road, observers found from the prewar days to the present age and introduces, and an act called observation / discovery pays attention to a state to be established as expression through various approach. It is an exhibition considering the way of the art that a person and the both sides of the observed thing (person) observing it pose a serious question called something with the expression together.
