The International Festival for Arts and Media Yokohama (CREAM) to open in October is calling for entries in its media arts competition. The preliminary and final rounds of judging in this attempt to postulate new forms of visual expression for today’s world, in which everyone can be a filmmaker, will be conducted by a jury including videomaker Ukawa Naohiro, Asai Takashi of film production and distribution company Uplink, and Shikata Yukiko of ICC..
One work will be awarded the CREAM Prize, with a handful of Excellence Prizes also up for grabs. Prizewinning entries will be screened during the Festival, and also receive prize money. Entries close Friday, July 31.
