Sumitomo Fumihiko, director of the CREAM – International Festival for Arts and Media Yokohama, issued an ‘urgent comment from the director’ on CHANNEL CREAM regarding artist Fujihata Masaki’s withdrawal of his work from the festival. In his 25-minute webcast Sumitomo spoke about management problems, mutual trust between curator and artist, organizing volunteers, and the meaning and concept of the festival, among other issues. For his part, Fujihata removed his work from the festival venue on 4 November.
