Kobe Art Village Center launched its annual ‘1floor’ project in 2008 with the aim of supporting young artists and curators by allowing them use the KAVC gallery and 1room community space – in other words, an entire floor – to plan and stage an exhibition or event. The Center is now accepting proposals for 1floor 2010. The competition is open to candidates between the ages of 18 and 29, proposing a presentation of new works. The winning candidate will be presented 100,000 yen to implement their proposal, and support in promoting and producing a catalogue for the project.
Deadline: Saturday, 6 March
