Artistic director of the 2005 Yokohama Triennale and professor at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, artist Kawamata Tadashi’s Cafe Talk dialogue series, launched in 2002, will be held for three days starting tonight. In anticipation of his forthcoming show Tanko: Coalmining as a ‘culture’ resource at the Meguro Museum of Art in November, Kawamata and his guests will explore the subject of coalmines.
