MAD art school courses start in April

MAD (Making Art Different) is a series of courses that respond inquisitively to diverse aspects of contemporary art launched in 2001 by the non-profit organization of arts coordinators and curators AIT (Arts Initiative Tokyo).

The tenth school year beginning in April offers four courses including Art + Communication, in which students gain a broad and basic knowledge of contemporary art, and Curatorial Studies. Courses are instructed by AIT directors with appearances by guest lecturers including museum directors, gallerists and artists.

Registration for the 2010 school year is now underway, with a free orientation day to be held at the end of March (see below for details)
All courses are taught in Japanese.
