Jeffrey Deitch named MOCA’s next director

The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA) has appointed New York gallerist Jeffrey Deitch as the museum’s new director. He begins his tenure on 1 June. Deitch has a 30-year career as an independent curator who has organized noteworthy exhibitions around the world. He has also played an instrumental role as an art advisor to leading institutional and private collectors, which in Japan includes work on the on the development of the Mori Art Museum and the Roppongi Hills Public Art & Design Project.
