Christie’s International announced its worldwide sales (including private) of £1.2 billion ($1.8 billion) for the first six months of 2009, down 35% by on last year’s figure of £1.8 billion ($3.5 billion) for the same period. Sales for Post-War & Contemporary Art were £128.2 million ($192.3 million).
