The facility that each year hosts a large-scale solo show by a Japanese contemporary artist – to date having featured the likes of Shiota Chiharu and Koganezawa Takehito – opens a group show by young artists to celebrate its 35th anniversary. Three Japan-based artists – Kimura Taiyo, Amemiya Yosuke and Izumi Taro – and three making their Japanese debuts from abroad – Todo Ramon and Kubota Hironari (Germany) and Sato Keiko (the Netherlands) – take ‘everyday life’ as a common theme in new works that reaveal a sense of strangeness, other dimensions, and the great flow of time.
