Suzuki Hiraku’s first published collection of drawings, titled GENGA, will be released this weekend. Suzuki is known for his live painting performances rendered in natural materials such as clay and leaves, on substrates that range from walls to photocopy paper that document the act of drawing. The 1008-page, six-centimeter-thick tome contains 1000 of Suzuki’s cryptic symbol-like drawings.
Suzuki will also be exhibiting in Roppongi Crossing 2010 opening at the Mori Art Museum on 20 March.
