French artist Jeanne-Claude died on 18 November due to complications of a brain aneurysm. She was 74. Jeanne-Claude had been collaborating with her husband Christo since they made their first work together in Cologne in 1961. They worked under Christo’s name until 1964, thereafter using the joint name ‘Christo and Jeanne-Claude’. Their 2005 installation in Central Park, The Gates, attracted millions of visitors. Christo intends to continue their two projects in the making in Colorado and Abu Dhabi.
