30th NIPAF kicks off tour in Tokyo

Presenting trajectories in Japanese and international performing arts since its launch in 1993, NIPAF (Nippon International Performance Art Festival) celebrates its 30th staging – international and Asian series combined. The milestone edition – taking place over three Japanese cities – kicked off in Tokyo on 28 September, featuring 13 artists lead by Shimoda Seij from Japan, eight from other parts of Asia, and one each from Europe and North America. Each performance runs roughly 2 1/2 hours and features works by six to nine artists.
