Hara Museum Arc in Shibukawa, Gunma will unveil new permanent installations by Olafur Eliasson, Lee Bul and Jean-Michel Othoniel this autumn. Eliasson’s new outdoor work, a dome-shaped device reflecting rainbow-colored light that changes the movement of the sun, has been three years in the making. Lee Bul’s new work makes use of a light box and Jean-Michel Othoniel’s is a large-scale outdoor sculpture. The new works are scheduled to open in September and October.
