Felix Gonzalez-Torres and Roni Horn at the Gugggenheim

Felix Gonzalez-Torres Untitled (Golden) 1995

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum will hold the Felix Gonzalez-Torres and Roni Horn exhibition Paired, Hold to commemorate the Museum’s 50th anniversary. The pair’s relationship began in 1993 when Horn, having learnt that Gonzalez-Torres had been impressed with her work, sent him a square of gold leaf as a symbol of friendship. Gonzalez-Torres subsequently dedicated his work Untitled (Placebo – Landscape – for Roni) to Horn as a sign of his respect. This exhibition is the first opportunity to experience the work of both artists exhibited together in the same place.
