Art Brut Japonais opens in Paris

Exhibition

An exhibition featuring the works of 63 outsider artists from Japan is showing through the end of the year at the Halle Saint Pierre in Paris. Art Brut Japonais was organized in cooperation with the Borderless Museum NO-MA, a gallery in Shiga Prefecture known for its focus on the creative output of people with disabilities. This exhibition offers an opportunity to recognize the artistic value of this output and the tremendous ability that often resides behind a socially imposed concept of ‘disabled’.
